Special Guest John Shiels delivered an inspirational speech highlighting the important factors required to succeed.  He told us that having been involved in schools and with a world famous football club that it is not about where you are from, or how much wealth you have, but what you put in and your determination and hard work to succeed which makes all the difference.

The evening celebrated the achievements of current students with prizes for each individual Form, Year Group and subject areas. The event also shone the spotlight on the Academy’s former Year 11 pupils.  The Achievement Award was well deserved by Awyas Nasim with 7A*, 3As and 1B.

Some students received more than one award including former pupils Omar Jeylani and Yusuf Nuur who each walked away with three awards – well done!  Omar was awarded the Subject Prizes for Maths, History and Languages and Yussuf was awarded the Subject Prizes for Technology (Graphics), Art and the Employability Prize.
