At Manchester Academy, we will do all we can to ensure that students have a happy and successful future and whilst we are proud of the important focus we place on academic excellence, we also believe that children need a breadth of opportunities and experiences in order to become confident, well-rounded and ambitious young adults. We call this Education with Character.
Each student, parent and adult in the school community has a responsibility to ensure that all our students are safe and happy, and enjoy a positive and stimulating learning environment at all times. Only then will we see our young people truly achieve the best we could wish for.
Enrichment activities add value to the curriculum by extending the breadth and depth of understanding within subject areas. Clubs and societies allow young people to pursue new interests such as astronomy, boxing, chess, languages and the academy also actively supports the Duke of Edinburgh Award. All enrichment activities stretch, challenge and help develop the skills and talents of our young people by preparing them to be successful and productive citizens.
In addition to our very wide range of extracurricular clubs, our students enjoy trips both locally, nationally and internationally, university visits, as well as talks from inspirational speakers.
We are incredibly proud to deliver an Education with Character; an education which challenges, inspires and excites our students and prepares them for the ups and downs of life.
