Manchester Academy Summer School Gives New Year 7 Pupils a Flying Start

Manchester Academy was delighted to welcome our newest students to this year's Summer School, providing them with an exciting opportunity to experience life at secondary school before officially joining our community.

Throughout the programme, pupils took part in a wide range of engaging activities designed to help them build confidence, develop new friendships, and familiarise themselves with their new surroundings. From creative projects and team-building challenges to sports and enrichment activities, every day was filled with opportunities for learning, fun, and personal growth.

Summer School plays an important role in supporting pupils as they make the transition from primary to secondary education. By exploring the school, meeting staff, and working alongside their future classmates, pupils were able to settle into the Manchester Academy community and begin the next chapter of their educational journey with confidence.

Staff were impressed by the enthusiasm, resilience, and positive attitudes shown by all participants. The programme provided an excellent opportunity for pupils to demonstrate their talents, challenge themselves, and embrace new experiences in a supportive environment.

Mr Adeyemo, Transition & Community Engagement Officer, said: "It has been wonderful to see our new students engaging so positively with Summer School. The friendships they have made, the confidence they have developed, and the enthusiasm they have shown throughout the programme have been fantastic. We are incredibly proud of them and look forward to welcoming them officially to Manchester Academy."

Manchester Academy would like to thank all staff, partners, and volunteers who contributed to the success of the programme. Their dedication and commitment ensured that pupils enjoyed a memorable experience while gaining valuable skills and confidence ahead of their transition to secondary school.

We look forward to seeing our new Year 7 students continue their journey at Manchester Academy, where winners are made.
