Manchester Academy was delighted to welcome Year 5 pupils from our local primary schools for our annual Year 5 Day, giving them an exciting opportunity to experience life at secondary school.
Throughout the day, pupils took part in a range of engaging activities designed to introduce them to the academy, meet new friends and discover what they can look forward to as they begin thinking about their future high school journey.
The visitors enjoyed spending time in different subject areas, meeting our staff and experiencing lessons in a secondary school setting. The day was designed to help pupils build confidence, develop their independence and become familiar with the routines and expectations of life at Manchester Academy.
Year 5 Day is an important part of our commitment to supporting young people as they make the transition from primary to secondary education. By giving pupils a chance to explore the academy and take part in fun, hands-on activities, we aim to make the move to high school an exciting and positive experience.
The enthusiasm, curiosity and excellent behaviour shown by all the visiting pupils made the day a great success. We would like to thank our partner primary schools for their continued support and look forward to welcoming many of these pupils back in the future.
Manchester Academy is proud to work closely with local primary schools to inspire and support the next generation, helping every young person feel confident and prepared for the next stage of their education.
