Royal Air Force Helicopter Drops in to Manchester Academy

Published on 07 July 2017

A Griffin helicopter, from 60 Squadron at Royal Air Force Shawbury in Shropshire, conducted some essential crew training in the North-West area on Wednesday, 12th July.

Afterwards, they proceeded onto Priestley College Warrington, Manchester Academy and The Cheadle College to say thank you to students who fundraised for the annual Royal Air Force Santa Drop at Alder Hey Children's Hospital and The Royal Manchester Children's Hospital which takes place every December.

Also in attendance were a group of Year 6 students from Wilbraham Primary School and Heald Place Primary School who came to see the helicopter.

Thank you very much to the Royal Air Force, 60 Squadron and in particular to Sgt Rachel Collier at the Armed Forces Career Office Liverpool for making the event happen.
