Some of our ex-students recently visited us to talk about their careers and life after leaving Manchester Academy. They were quite inspirational and they had some really positive messages to share.

Rashid Latif, the former Pakistani team captain and wicket keeper and the current Afghan cricket team coach, visited the academy today to coach some of our own budding cricketers.
Art imitates life at Manchester Academy
On Monday, 20th June 2011, some of our 6th Form students took part in the Cycle and Picnic in the Park event at Platt Fields Park in Fallowfield, Manchester.
20 Sixth Form students intrepidly set out to complete their practice expedition in the Peak District on Monday 23rd to Tuesday 24th May 2011. They travelled for 6 hours each day (considerably longer for some groups!) and camped overnight in Pomeroy, near Buxton.
Year 9 and Year 10 students took part in a German exchange project with Korntal Gymnasium in Stuttgart this year. The project was titled Come Dine with Me where English students were able to learn about German foods, cook them and eat them.
