Induction is an intervention programme, unique to Manchester Academy, that meets the needs of ‘International New Arrivals’ (or ‘INAs’) joining throughout the academic year, who have little or no English, through a bespoke timetable for each child, including Induction and subject lessons and personalised interventions. It enables students to build foundations in the English language whilst receiving additional pastoral support during their early weeks in the UK. 

Our aim is that our students rapidly achieve levels of basic English sufficient to begin to access the Academy curriculum. Students receive additional academic and pastoral support to help them to integrate into Manchester Academy and overcome their language barriers.
