Three Schools Mathematics Project

On Wednesday, 1st February, 20 students from 8U visited The University of Manchester along with students from William Hulme's Grammar School and The Manchester Grammar School.

Reading Miles Global Challenge

The National Literacy Trust has launched the Reading Miles Global Challenge, a new competition for all UK schools that will run from 9th January to 16th March 2012 and we’re taking part!

National Family Literacy Day

On Tuesday 1st November, we celebrated National Family Literacy Day at Manchester Academy. Parents and carers of year 7 and 8 students were invited to join their children and participate in a range of literacy activities.

Manchester Academy Army Cadet Force Detachment

Manchester Academy has its own Army Cadet Force Detachment. The Academy Detachment is a closed detachment (only members of the school are allowed to attend).
