TiE Young Entrepreneurs Global Programme

The Indus Entrepreneurs, Young Entrepreneurs Global Programme was launched at Manchester Academy in November. Manchester Academy was chosen by TiE to be one of the 2 schools representing England.

On Tuesday, 13th November, the Manchester Academy under 16 basketball team notched up their first win of the season with an emphatic win over Loreto College 46-32.

Whitworth Art Gallery – Fresh Made Trade

After a successful first year of collaboration with the Whitworth Art Gallery, a new group of entrepreneurs have taken up the baton of ‘Fresh Made Trade’ and have begun their challenge to create a product for the shop at the Gallery and Art Museum.

Dragons’ Den Student Success

On Friday 19th October, a team of students went to Manchester Airport to participate in the Dragons’ Den Enterprise Challenge.

Year 11 Geography Field Trip

On Tuesday 23rd October, the Year 11 Geography students went on a very successful field studies course in Blackpool.

STEM Event: University of Manchester Energy Star Lecture

On Wednesday 17th October, students from Year 10 and 11 attended The University of Manchester STAR Lecture: Materials and Nuclear Energy delivered by the Director of Dalton Nuclear Institute, Professor Andrew Sherry.

Primary School Festivals

The first two primary school festivals of the year took place on Thursday, 18th October for Year 6 pupils and also on Tuesday, 23rd October for Year 5 pupils.
