"Duke of Edinburgh is recognised across the country, it's an award that will give you more to offer to future education and jobs. "You need to be determined, dedicated and passionate, and in turn you will get so much more out from the Award."

The Duke of Edinburgh Award, 2014
This year’s Year 10 Duke of Edinburgh Award candidates had their first experience of the outdoors on our annual trip to Ghyll Head on the edge of Lake Windemere.
Have you got what it takes?
On Friday 25th January, 27 pupils from Year 10 arrived at a very snowy and cold Ghyll Head in the Lake District to take part in their training for the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
20 Sixth Form students intrepidly set out to complete their practice expedition in the Peak District on Monday 23rd to Tuesday 24th May 2011. They travelled for 6 hours each day (considerably longer for some groups!) and camped overnight in Pomeroy, near Buxton.
