Imploding drinks cans, pop music, and clay modelling were just some of the fun activities on offer at Manchester Academy's annual Open Day.
There was also a “subject sticker treasure hunt” that gave visitors the chance to win an iPad, the winner of which will be announced soon.
The event saw Principal Andy Griffin, his students and staff give more than 100 visitors the opportunity to see the Academy in action, taking part in a variety of activities and workshops, as well as tours of its newest facilities.
Student ambassadors took on the role of tour guides for the evening, whisking visitors from class to class, and giving prospective students and their parents the chance to ask anything they wanted about life at Manchester Academy.
The Principal knows that parents are making a crucial decision and should ensure they make the right choice for their children and commented:
“Moving from primary to secondary education is a major step in a young person’s life. We aim to provide an inspirational and aspirational education and strive to bring out the best in everyone who comes here.
“What we hope we achieved at our open evening was to give prospective students and their parents a real taste of what they can expect when coming to Manchester Academy.”
