Thursday 18th May saw a visitor from Bletchley Park in school, talking to selected students in Years 7, 8 and 9, plus the Robotics Club about the Enigma machine.
On Friday, 6th May, Greater Manchester pharmacists delivered an instructional session in school for a number of Manchester Academy students and parents who all have asthma to teach them the best ways to use their inhalers and spacers.

The Manchester United first-team squad joined local school children today as they took part in an event to celebrate the work of Manchester United Foundation in the local community.
On Tuesday, 5th – Thursday, 7th April, Manchester Academy hosted its first Manchester United Foundation half term holiday course.
Congratulations to Year 10 student Ratil Habibullah, who following a string of excellent performances during a recent Manchester United Foundation schools tournament, was invited down to train with the foundations U16's Development centre squad.
This week Manchester Academy hosted the first 'Move With Manchester United' sports festival for its partner primary schools (Claremont Primary, Wilbraham Primary, Webster Primary).
The tournament brought together 12 teams from around Manchester who are partners of the Manchester United Foundation.
On Monday, 7th March, a group of selected students participated in a United Learning Initiative to create junior leaders.
Students gave up their Saturday to take part in some street art workshops on the 13th February!
