Challenge 4 Change

Published on 03 September 2017

On Wednesday, 19th July 2017, a group of students were selected to take part in the Challenge 4 Change programme called ‘Teammates Not Inmates’.

This was a unique opportunity to develop self-discipline, communication skills and resilience.

Early intervention is the necessary step taken for Manchester Academy students that have been identified as having made some poor behaviour choices which inevitably have a negative impact on their learning and other students.

This measure ensures that students fulfil their potential and make progress in their learning to secure future success and wellbeing. While there were several high tariff students, they behaved impeccably and were great ambassadors of Manchester Academy. The students were put through their paces with some team building challenges and they were also advised on how to become more positive.

Many thanks to PC Kim Needham from the Greater Manchester Police who requested the funding on our behalf as well as to Hanif Moncrieffe and Cassandra Patrick for supporting the event.
