We met with many of our new families due to start with us in September for the first time at our New Parents’ Information Evening on 15th March.
The evening provided an excellent opportunity for them to hear from our Senior Leaders, the Transition Team and experience a tour around our site. Parents and carers also had the opportunity to sign their child up for our Easter School, which will be the first opportunity for them to meet their new classmates.
Ms Trivedi, Assistant Vice Principal, who leads on Transition, said:
“This was an excellent turnout for this annual event. It was wonderful to meet so many of our new students and their families for the first time, and discuss their future as a Manchester Academy student.
“We are privileged to spend time talking to them about the support we can offer and loved taking many of our families on a tour of our school on the night as part of the event. As an Academy, we are humbled by the enthusiasm of our newest cohort in getting involved in our unique community.”
Final preparations are now taking place for our Easter School on 5th April 2023. This is a fantastic opportunity for our new Year 7 students to familiarise themselves with their new surroundings and make new friends in the process. This will be followed up with a week-long Summer School in August.
