Our former Executive Principal has received an OBE for services to education in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list.

Celebrating success! That was the theme as Manchester Academy staged its annual awards ceremony in The Great Hall at the Town Hall. Some pupils worked hard enough to gain a number of prizes.

Manchester Academy took part in an enterprise and employability skills event hosted by DWF and run by Visionpath Education.

Manchester Academy picked up the ‘Education Investor’ Academy of the Year Award in recognition of the innovative and outstanding work undertaken for the young people it serves. The ceremony, presented by comedian Steve Punt was held at London’s Grosvenor Hotel on 16^th November 2010.

Manchester Academy was shortlisted for a national award (one of only a couple of schools in the country) for our progress with literacy in all lessons. The award is presented to the school that demonstrates a sustainable system for improving students' literacy levels.

Arts Council England has awarded Artsmark Silver to Manchester Academy in recognition of our commitment to, and excellence in, arts education.

Manchester Academy celebrates being one of the most improved specialist schools and academies

Manchester Academy picked up the ‘Academy Partnership Award’ at the Education Business Awards in London on 19^th November 2009. The award was in recognition of the academy’s ‘outstanding’ partnerships with other schools, local business and other community groups.
