Manchester Academy Proudly Celebrates A Week Of Fun, Learning, and Teamwork
Manchester Academy proudly hosted its Summer School Graduation Ceremony, celebrating the fantastic achievements of new Year 6 students as they prepare to start their journey into Secondary School.
Over the past week, pupils enjoyed an action-packed programme of fun games and sports challenges, designed to build confidence, teamwork, and friendship. Each day was filled with energy and smiles, as students embraced new opportunities and got a real taste of Academy life.
Graduation Day with Families and Friends
To mark the end of the week, we welcomed parents and carers into school for a heartfelt graduation ceremony. Students took to the stage with confidence to perform the dance routine they had been learning throughout Summer School, earning huge applause from their proud families.
The celebration also included individual awards, recognising the unique talents and personalities of each student. From teamwork to creativity, every child’s achievement was celebrated with cheers and claps from their peers.
A Memorable Trip
One of the many highlights from the week was the school trip to Manchester’s Football Museum, where students explored the history of the game and enjoyed a fun learning experience.
Head of Year 7, Mrs Maybury said: "The day was magic for everyone involved! Our new Year 7 students' behaviour was outstanding, setting a great example for when they start Secondary School in September."
Looking Ahead To September
The week ended with smiles and certificates, our new Year 6 students have shown that they are ready to take their next steps with confidence as they join us at Manchester Academy in September.
The Academy would like to say a big thank you to all the teachers and support staff who made Summer School such a success, helping students feel welcome, supported, and prepared for the exciting journey into secondary school life.
