A Proud Moment for ManchesterAcademy and its Vibrant Community
Manchester Academy has been proudly awarded the NHS Healthy Schools Award for Community Engagement – a fantastic achievement that celebrates the strong connection between our school and the vibrant community of Moss Side.
This award recognises the hard work of our students, staff, and families in promoting health, kindness, and care both inside and outside the classroom.
Making Manchester Magic Together
Staff and students at Manchester Academy live by the magic motto - From litter-picking projects to serving Christmas dinner to senior citizens, each member of our community has shown what it means to make a real difference.
These efforts not only support our neighbours, but also help our young people build confidence, empathy, and leadership skills.
Supporting Health and Wellbeing with the NHS
A fantastic partnership with the NHS has been a key part of this success!
The school has worked closely to help answer local parents' and carers’ questions about the MMR vaccine, making sure families feel informed and supported.
In addition, the Academy offers free ESOL classes (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and runs an active Parents’ Association, so families can feel even more connected to school life.
Looking Ahead - More Magic to Come
This award is just the beginning - the Academy is committed to continue working with the people who matter most - our families, neighbours, and community partners.
Teachers and support staff are incredibly proud of these magic students and grateful to everyone who helps make Manchester Academy a healthy, happy, and community-focused school.
Let’s keep making Manchester MAGIC!
