Community Opening Evening Welcomes Families and Local Leaders

The event attracted a large number of visitors who were given the opportunity to explore the school, meet staff from a wide range of departments and learn more about the opportunities available to our students. Families were able to speak directly with teachers, gaining valuable insight into the curriculum, student support and the many enrichment activities on offer across the academy.

Guests were welcomed to our school with an impressive musical performance by Imperial Drummers at the front of the building, which really set the atmosphere for a night of celebration.

A welcome address from our Principal, Mr Eldon, provided guests with an overview of the school's continued progress and commitment to delivering the highest standards of education and support for all students, including sharing news of recently achieving the best GCSE results in the school's history.

We were also pleased to welcome Councillor Mahdi Mahamed, who spoke positively about Manchester Academy and the progress the school has made. Councillor Mahamed praised the academy's strong GCSE outcomes and commended the confidence and leadership skills demonstrated by our students. Councillor Mahamed said :"The Community Opening Evening is an opportunity for parents to visit the school, speak to the teachers and the students. It's the kind of community engagement we need and I say to people all the time: If you're not sure but want to know more, come and see for yourself"

If you were unable to attend our Community Open Evening and would still like to take a look around the school, we are currently offering personal tours, which you can book onto via this link.
