A Heart-Warming Leavers Assembly Celebrates the End of GCSE Exam Season
Manchester Academy’s amazing Year 11 students returned to school one last time for their leaver’s assembly, following the completion of their GCSE exams. The event marked a proud and emotional moment for students and staff.
Welcomed by their favourite teachers, the students were guided to the main hall, where the atmosphere was filled with smiles and laughter.
Celebrating Success and Memories
The assembly began with a warm welcome from school principal, Mr Eldon, who shared how proud he was of the year group:
“Their determination and positive attitude throughout the GCSEs have been outstanding – they have made this exam season magic!”
The celebration continued with a look back through time, as students enjoyed a touching slideshow of photos from their first day at the Academy in 2020! Heartfelt messages from teachers and the year group’s student presidents made the assembly even more special.
Smiles and Signing Yearbooks
After the assembly, students received their Year 11 yearbooks that were designed by the school Yearbook Club, capturing all the fun memories of their time at the Academy.
Students spent time signing each other’s yearbooks and shirts – a final farewell full of joy, laughter and plenty of photos!
Looking Ahead to Prom
The celebrations aren’t – students will reunite on Friday 20th June for their much-anticipated Year 11 Prom at the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester Academy couldn’t be prouder of this wonderful group of students – ready to shine in whatever comes next!
