Ladies Literacy Classes

Welcome to our Ladies’ Literacy Course, a warm and welcoming space for women to build confidence in English language skills while connecting with others in our community. This course is completely free to attend.

Who Is It For?

This course is designed for women of all backgrounds who want to improve their English skills in a supportive setting. Whether you're just starting out or looking to build on existing knowledge, you're very welcome.

Course Overview

Our sessions follow the ESOL curriculum (U.S. English version), starting from Level 1 and progressing to Level 2. We focus on developing essential skills in:

• Reading
• Writing
• Speaking
• Listening

Activities are tailored to meet individual needs, and learners also have access to computers to support their progress.

What to Expect

• A friendly, relaxed learning environment
• Tea, coffee, and cakes to enjoy while you learn
• Certificates awarded at the end of each half-term to celebrate progress
• A chance to make friends and build community

Session Details

• When: Every Monday, 9:00am – 11:00am
• Where: Manchester Academy – Room B23
• The last lesson of this term is Monday 15th December 2025
• Sessions resume on Monday 5th January 2026

Do I need to book?

No need to book in advance - just come along on a Monday and inform reception. You’ll be personally welcomed and guided to the session.
