House System
All students at Manchester Academy belong to a house. There are four houses:
- North
- South
- East
- West
All students are assigned to a Tutor Group and a House Tutor. Students make friends easily within their Tutor Groups and their House Tutor will be an important supporter throughout the year.
Details about the house system and your child’s particular Tutor Group will be found in the Student Planner and parents/carers are asked to sign this planner each week.
Every student will have an individual timetable showing subject names, teacher names and room numbers for each period. Staff spend the early weeks of every September directing children around the building and making sure that nobody gets lost!
The house system encourages “Learning for Success” and healthy competition. House points count towards the successes of the house groups.
