Homework
Students are given homework on a regular basis. Students will have a student planner in which they will record a weekly timetable of each piece of homework given.
Parents/carers are requested to help monitor homework by checking the planner regularly and asking to see the work the child is doing.
Parents/carers can help support their child/children’s learning by sitting with them. In this way, parents/carers will be able to judge their son’s/daughter’s concentration span, effort being made, difficulties encountered etc.
Please encourage your child to join the local library and read at home regularly. Reading regularly is one of the most important ways in which a child can increase vocabulary, improve their own writing, learn about ideas and engage in an activity which promotes creative thinking and reflection.
Our Learning Resource Centre is open at lunchtimes and after school Monday – Friday for students to read, research and complete work.
