Duke of Edinburgh’s Award at Manchester Academy

Thursday 24^th November 2011 saw the inaugural presentation for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award at Manchester Academy, acting for the first time as their own Operating Authority. 

The fantastic event was attended by students who had gained their Bronze and Silver Awards over the past three years, and was celebrated by students, parents, governors and staff who were delighted to share in their successes. 

Mr Paul Griffiths, Operating Officer for the North West Duke of Edinburgh’s Award presented the awards to over 60 students, and a selection of students gave their presentations about their experiences completing the Award. 

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is seen as an extremely prestigious achievement, and Manchester Academy is very proud of all who have completed it – well done!!!
