Manchester Academy Students Put Their Digital Skills To The Test In An Exciting Escape Room
Each Thursday lunchtime, Manchester Academy’s Cyber Safety Club is buzzing with students eager to explore the world of coding, cybersecurity, and online safety. Led by the Academy’s IT Manager, Mr. Atcha, the club gives students the chance to learn about online threats, develop problem-solving skills, and grow in confidence.
This week, the club took things to the next level with a thrilling school trip to a cyber escape room, where students had to work together to stop a cyber-attack on a fictional company. The room was filled with puzzles and challenges, just like a real-life hacking scenario!
Building Teamwork and Confidence
Mr. Atcha said: “I’m always looking for ways to make learning exciting and hands-on for students in my club. I wanted to give them an experience that challenged their skills in a real-world scenario.”
The escape room experience helped the students become more confident and discover new strengths, with shy members of the group taking on leadership roles, everyone worked together and solved problems.
Supporting Passions Beyond The Classroom
The Cyber Safety Club is a great example of how Manchester Academy supports students' passions, both in and out of the classroom! The trip brought learning to life and showed students that their interests in IT and coding can lead to exciting opportunities in the real world.
