Chris Wormald, Permanent Secretary for Department for Education Visits Us

A big thank you to staff and students for making todays visit by Chris Wormald, Permanent Secretary for the Department for Education – such a success.

Whilst visiting the Academy, Mr Wormald went into classes and was also given a chance to meet students from across the year groups including our new Year 11 Senior prefects, Year 7 foundation students, the ‘Stars of the Week’ students and students from The Glee Club, our school music club.

Said Zainab Jafar, Year 11 Senior Prefect: “I thoroughly enjoyed meeting with Mr Wormald and found it interesting to discuss our school and voice my ideas.”
