At Manchester Academy, we believe the old saying that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. By offering a free breakfast each morning, we ensure our students get the fuel they need to focus, learn, and thrive.

Did you know that millions of children and young people start their day without breakfast. Research conducted by the University of Leeds found that secondary school students who regularly have breakfast can achieve 2 GCSE grades higher than their peers who do not (Education Endowment Foundation – Nov. 2016).

Magic Breakfast ensures our students start their day the right way! With the fuel they need to tackle their most important lessons at school. Students have a choice of toast, bagels, crumpets, beans on toast, and a selection of cereals.

Vice Principle, Mrs McMullen said: “Breakfast helps our students concentrate and be ready for learning throughout the day. A hungry student cannot concentrate, so could miss out on half a day of learning every school day.”
