Exam Results 2013

Published on 02 September 2013

On Thursday, 22nd August 2013, Manchester Academy celebrated continued improvement in this year’s GCSE examination results.

50% of students achieved five or more A*-C grades including English and Maths compared to 48% last year. In total, 94% of students achieved five or more GCSEs at grades A* to C.

Year 11 student, Yasin Alhamwy had cause for celebration – having arrived at the academy in Year 7 with no English, he went from strength to strength to finally achieve 5 A*, 3 A and 2 B grades.

The academy’s Modern Foreign Languages curriculum area led by Saima Baksh also experienced noteworthy success. There was a 100% pass rate in Spanish GCSE with 33% of students achieving A*-A grades.

The chart and tables below show how students’ results have progressed since Manchester Academy opened. We are confident that this trend will continue over the coming years.
