It gives us great pleasure to welcome you to Manchester Academy.

We are a vibrant, dynamic and forward-thinking learning community, which embraces diversity and is committed to ensuring the success of our students.

Through inspirational learning and teaching, we aim to maximise opportunity and realise the potential for all, by providing an extensive education of the highest quality, within a caring, supportive and safe environment.

In February 2012, we were delighted that Ofsted recognised our achievements by stating that we have the aspiration to bring out 'the best in everyone'.

In August 2012 we achieved another great year of exam results with 94% of students gaining 5 A*-C grades.

We are committed to maintaining effective partnerships with parents, carers, governors, employers and other stakeholders. We recognise the importance of ensuring our students have a smooth transition from primary school, or when they leave us to go on to university or employment.

Therefore we work hard to retain excellent links with our local primary schools and the three Manchester universities. Additionally, our Business and Enterprise and Art specialisms enable us to forge links with local and international businesses such as Cobbetts and Pinsent Masons who help to nurture the talents of our learners.

We are rightly proud of our students and our successes… but the journey does not end here.

Through our progressive and innovative approach, we are determined to move our academy forward and we are constantly looking for ways to improve. Our aspiration is to be the very best learning community for the benefit of all of our young people, and their future lives.
