Enrichment
The Sixth Form is not just about academic work, but also about individual development. There are many opportunities to enrich and improve a student's life including:
-
Social events committee
- Charity events committee
- Enterprise
- Healthy eating and cooking on a budget
- Mentoring
- Music
- Sport
- Work experience/work shadowing
To complement the curriculum the Manchester Academy Progression Programme [MAPP] was introduced in September 2007 to incorporate Active Citizenship, Enterprise and Enrichment Activities, all of which are accredited by Asdan and the Salford Young People's University Award.
We believe that every student should have opportunities to develop their wider skills and broaden their interests and experiences. At the same time, we know that students who develop both their academic and extra-curricular interests are more likely to secure their preferred Higher Education courses and pursue careers of their choice.
