RAF Santa Helicopter Visit

On the last day of the autumn term, Friday, 16^th December, Manchester Academy welcomed back Father Christmas on his brief stopover before he visited the local hospitals.

He arrived via helicopter in the sports field on a specially commissioned Royal Air Force sleigh. Upon arrival, he was welcomed by Mr Bromfield (the Principal) and Mr Strickland (the Engagement Officer).

He then proceeded to meet a group of our Year 7 students accompanied by their teachers.

Alice Gregor, a reporter from BBC Radio Manchester was also on hand to interview Father Christmas as well as some of the students. Click ‘play’ below to listen to the clip.
