Numeracy

At the heart of our commitment to developing Numeracy is the will to drive the school forward in terms of attainment in Mathematics and recognising the impact Mathematics has on the wider curriculum and community.

As part of our drive for higher standards, Mathematics and Numeracy are firmly embedded across the curriculum. This is so we can help to ensure that students leave Manchester Academy not only with qualifications in Mathematics but also an appreciation of how Mathematics is used in everyday life. We believe by doing this we are helping to give students the skills that are needed in future careers and addressing the skills shortages.

At Manchester Academy we are striving to work alongside the community to deliver the skills that are needed as well as raising levels of engagement by making students realise Mathematics is a key part of everyday life.
