Future Story
The Talent and Enterprise Taskforce asked the students of Manchester Academy if they would make a film entitled, Our Future Story.
This was to support the ‘Future Story’ publication, written specifically to promote and celebrate Manchester. With a time span of four days to script, film and edit, as ever the students pulled it off!
Their film was previewed at the Imperial War Museum North in front of the great and the good of Manchester, including Sir Richard Leese, the leader of Manchester City Council and Phil Woolas, the Minister for the North West.
After the showing the students were then interviewed in order to give the audience the benefit of their expertise. The film was deemed a great success and the students were in great demand during the networking session that followed.
Schools and academies across the country will be challenged to make a ‘Future Story’ about their own community. Once again Manchester Academy has set the benchmark.
