Students Become Dragons

On 18^th November 2009 the E4E team and 4 students were invited to the launch of NESTA's iDiscover project.

The event was aimed at encouraging partners to work with Manchester Academy and other schools involved in the iDiscover project. Over a 100 business people attended the event.

Mrs Delfino spoke to the audience, obviously extolling the virtues of Manchester Academy. Business partners were then asked to pitch to the students. The Manchester Academy students gave their views on the pitches and were firm but fair. None of the professionals actually cried!

At the end of the event we were unable to leave! This was because the business professionals wanted to ‘grill’ our students and ask their advice.

Manchester Academy is looking forward to working with NESTA in the iDiscover project in January 2010.
