Manchester Academy and Pinsent Masons dig for victory!
On a dry but crisp day in March a group of volunteers gave up their Saturday to create our allotment.
Staff and their families from Pinsent Masons and Manchester Academy staff, students and families worked together to build raised beds, mix soil and compost, built a poly tunnel, dig up turf and generally exhaust themselves.
By the end of the day the piece of waste ground looked fantastic.
Ms Easby and her Gardening Club are now going to start planting! The fruit, flowers and vegetables will be sold and the profits ‘ploughed’ back into the allotment.
A huge thanks to all who took part.
