The Enterrprise 4 Employability programme received the following statements as part of the Grade 1 Outstanding Ofsted Report
Grow Your Own Teacher Project
Manchester Academy and St Mary's Primary School are working in partnership to grow our own teachers. Students have to apply for a place on the programme. They then have tutorials at St Mary's where they learn about literacy, numeracy and behaviour management.
The students keep a portfolio and do independent research and 'practice on year 7 students! The programme culminates in a placement at St Mary's where the students work alongside teachers and take part in all the routines undertaken by the teaching staff. This programme has been extremely enjoyable and successful.
