The MAPP - Further Details

- The programme will take place on Friday afternoons as part of the new enrichment programme that is being planned by Mrs. Walsh (Director of Sixth Form).
- At the end of the year all the sixth form students who have participated will be invited to attend a residential experience at The University having the chance to stop overnight in the University Halls of Residence; sampling a taste of the wider social activities that university students enjoy.

- The culmination of this experience will be a graduation ceremony, during which the sixth form students will receive their certificates of achievement wearing official graduation gowns.
- This is an exciting development for the Salford Young People's University programme run by the University to increase confidence, self-esteem, aspiration and attainment as part of their work to widen participation among groups who are currently under-represented in the student population.
- The programme is supported by Aimhigher Greater Manchester, a national campaign to encourage more people to go on to higher education.
