In April staff and 6th formers spent a day training with Q to prepare for the launch.

• Students will take part in the ABA boxing award scheme.

• When they have reached gold they will then be able to join a local boxing club.

We were delighted to have Joe Murray the Manchester born bantamweight boxer with us in April.

• Joe is competing in the Olympic Games in Beijing this summer and is on for Gold.

• He spoke to Manchester Academy students and then joined in a training session.

• He impressed us all with his skills and the students thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
