BBC News Report Day

10:45 a.m. All the introductions and the main articles are placed on the autocue. The correspondents will read from this straight into camera. Filming begins.

Kamal's hard work we have met the deadline! The stories are
ready for broadcast.

It was an extremely busy but enjoyable day. The energy and enthusiasm of the students who took part was fantastic and commented on by people involved on the News Day including BBC Producer Mark Elliott.
Many thanks to Rachel Taylor and Kamal Arafa for making the day so successful.
The students clearly enjoyed it and many would like to pursue careers in journalism. They took home with them BBC pens, reporters' notepads, press cards and posters. They also took home the satisfaction of a job well done.
I will definitely be recruiting many of this year's press-team to work with Academy Confidential over the next year.
