Breakfast News At Manchester Academy
At Manchester Academy, we are currently trialling a live talk every Friday in which the Principal, Mrs August, will address the teachers and pupils on issues or matters which are important and regard the whole school. Mrs August will also talk about events going on in the school.
This is an efficient way to discuss these matters because it saves time as teachers won't have to explain it to their classes.

The show will continue to be broadcast over the school network which means teachers will be able to access it with no hassle. The broadcast won't be longer than 5 minutes. Although 5 minutes might not seem a lot, in speech it can cover a lot of things.
So far we have trialled it for 2 weeks in which both shows have been reviewed by teachers and pupils as good, useful and time-saving.
I myself had been in the broadcast room on the first show to check how this new system worked because one other person and I might be actually recording in the near future if it carries on.
There were a few technical issues after the first broadcast (sound only - no picture) which were soon fixed and their were also practical issues like vision and sound being on prior to the broadcast which might puzzle people tuning in and seeing just an empty room or people setting up for broadcast.
However, I have it on good authority that this weeks broadcast will feature a test-card (if you don't know what one is look out for it on Friday) and some music - rumoured to be Mozart but not confirmed as yet!
