Maths Department

The Maths department is committed to:

• ensuring all pupils at Manchester Academy have access to high quality teaching and support in and out of lessons;
• ensuring all pupils are pushed to achieve their potential;
• helping our pupils develop skills for life-long learning.

To deliver these aims, we will endeavour to:

• ensure all pupils have the opportunity of taking a qualification in GCSE Mathematics;
• ensure pupils sit exams that are appropriate to the individual and at a time appropriate to the individual;
• offer a range of courses post -16;
• use a range of teaching styles incorporating ICT adapted to the learning needs of our pupils.
