Eid
As you all know, Eid is a festival celebrated by Muslims all over the world. It is normally after Ramadan (the month of fasting), Eid-Ul-Fitr, or after Hajj (a pilgrimage to the holy place in Saudi Arabia), Eid-Ul-Adha.
Muslims can tell if it is Eid or not by seeing if the moon is full or not after these occasions. If the moon is full, this means that it is Eid the next day. On December 19, 2007 Eid was once again celebrated by Muslims all over the world as a celebration for the holy pilgrimage being completed once again for the year.

On Eid day, the Muslim men all gather at the mosque for a special prayer. Women can also choose to come to the mosque for the prayer, or read it at home. This is optional.
After the prayer is complete, people give money to the mosque so that it can be passed on to charity. After this prayer, families gather together for feasts and parties.
The meaning of Eid is something that is returned and repeated and can be called a recurrent event.
Eid takes place twice a year in the Islamic calendar, which makes it a repeated festival. It is like Christians celebrating Christmas for religious reasons.

This Eid coming up is to celebrate the sacrifice of the lamb and the people who have had chance to complete the holy pilgrimage.
A day before Eid-Ul-Adha, the people who did not have a chance to go on the pilgrimage will fast, sunrise till sunset, so that they can also be rewarded.
This Eid will be lasting for 3 full days, this is also known as the big Eid. All Muslims will be getting ready to celebrate another special festival once again.
