Introduction

Manchester Academy is proud to present National Enterprise Week from the 12th to the 18th of November, 2007.

The week encompasses activities and events aimed at inspiring young people to not only have ideas but actually make them happen.

Last year, National Enterprise Week was a tremendous success at Manchester Academy. Students took part in various rewarding enterprising activities which received support from local businesses and well renowned organisations such as the RAF, HSBC and the BBC amongst others.

Make Your Mark Challenge

The "Make Your Mark provides a fantastic opportunity to get young people enthused about business. Enterprise is the life-blood of local communities throughout the UK playing a vital role in the lives of people. It is really important that we pass on the love of entrepreneurship to the next generation and the Make Your Mark campaign is a great way to do that."

David Frost, Director-General of the British Chambers of Commerce

2006

The Make Your Mark with a Tenner team unearthed our own social entrepreneurs involved in the  Cathay Craftz project. After running the business venture in just a matter of weeks, the team of students eventually raised over £800 to help pupils at Toli Secondary School - our partner school in South Africa.

2007

After such outstanding accomplishments, the students at Manchester Academy can only be inspired to make this year's National Enterprise Week better than before.
