Aedas Architects Competition
  • Three teams competed against each other from Years 7, 8 and 9.
  • Each team had to plan a new academy. 
  • They had to research what was good and bad about Manchester Academy.

    - interviewing staff;

    - interviewing the principal, and;

    - interviewing students.

The eco friendly building design process in progress
  • They used the internet to look at eco friendly buildings. 
  • Their completed presentations were excellent.

  • The winning team was Year 7 - Alex Booth, Ivy Makhoha and Ka Yan Yiu - they were each presented with an iPod and vouchers.
