Staff Achievements
The staff at Manchester Academy are a talented bunch, who take part in many development opportunities both in and out of school. Get a flavour of our staff’s latest professional and personal achievements.
- Well done to all those individual staff members, who were graded 'Outstanding' by the Ofsted inspectors.
- All staff have passed the Level 1 training on the Promethean Interactive Whiteboard so to ensure that the learning in our classrooms is at the cutting edge of practice.
- Congratulations to Mr Smith, who completed the Liverpool Half Marathon in a staggering 1 hour, 23 mins. Mr Smith finished 68th out of 1000!
- Congratulations to Jane Delfino, who was awarded the Marks and Spencer Sieff Award for ‘an individual based in the community, who has best collaborated with business to benefit society. And it doesn’t stop there either for our ‘outstanding’ Director of Enterprise and Internationalism as Jane has also been made a Sinnott Fellow. Jane is one of fifteen teachers across England to have been granted the fellowship by the DCSF and NUT. Jane’s brief is to develop the outward facing school. She will do this by further developing international partnerships and extending the business links for the young people of Manchester Academy.
- Congratulations to Ruth Warburton, who after much hard work has gained a 2:1 (honours) degree in Literature from the Open University.
- Well done to Ms Bonner, who completed a 5K run for Sports Relief!
